Salad & Go is a healthy option that changes the fast food game. During my internship at LOOMIS, six other interns and I worked on this project. Our goal was to develop a social-first strategy and campaign that proves Salad and Go is a brand that people can genuinely trust, love, crave, and build into their everyday routines.

Refining Salad and Go's Messaging
We started by researching Salad and Go’s current social media feedback and core brand identity. Their DNA is composed of Delicious, Nutritious, and Accessible salads on the go. At that point, their social media content was not relaying their core message: everyone deserves to eat healthy at their convenience. Closing the gap between Salad and Go's brand identity and their social presence so every post feels aligned with their DNA became our highest priority.
Our Solution to the Fast Food Fatigue
It boiled down to one critical insight: fast food usually doesn’t make you feel very good. Salad and Go is the exception. Which is why our campaign, Lettuce Turn You on to Fast Food, is the perfect solution. Our goal with this pitch was to get people excited about eating fast food; it will make you feel good, desirable, and attractive. We had to be careful applying a more suggestive tone, but the risk paid off. Using flirty language and cheeky imagery to grab our audience's attention, Lettuce Turn You on to Fast Food treats Salad and Go as an everyday cravable indulgence.
Tying an Identity to the Message
Together, my design teammates and I developed a distinct visual identity system for this campaign. Macrophotography with an emphasis on Salad and Go's products conveys a suggestive and playful energy. Bright colors and rounded typography makes each post a reason to visit the drive-through. Paired with flirtatious captions, each social leaves a lasting impression. Along with social media presence, we expanded our original goal to include billboards, merch, experiential, and radio.
Building the Pitch and Presentation
Our final task was to present our campaign to The LOOMIS Agency. A strong pitch and succinct presentation were critical to our messaging's success. We treated every element as part of the experience, making leave-behind menus, impromptu car-wash dance breaks (a nod to our experiential event), and fun audience-interactive moments that left a lasting impression.
Final Thoughts
After our final presentation, our pitch deck was shown to the client and received a glowing review for our dedication and passion. Unfortunately, Salad and Go has since closed its doors, but my time working on this project was an invaluable experience. I learned how to take risks, build relationships with clients, and complete complex deliverables at a fast pace. I worked with an amazing team to create a campaign that challenged us creatively and pushed me to grow as both a designer and a collaborator.
